The ingredients needed to prepare Chatpati Bhindi Masala:
- Prepare 250 gm Bhindi/ladyfinger
- Prepare 1 tomato finely chopped
- Use 1 Onion finely chopped
- Provide 1 Bowl Dahi/ Yogurt
- You need 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- Provide 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
- You need 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
- Use 1 tbsp coriander powder
- Provide 1/2 tbsp kasoori Methi
- Get 1/2 tbsp Carrom seeds/ Ajwain
- Prepare 1/2 tbsp funnel seeds
- Provide 1 tbsp ginger Garlic paste
- Take 2 tbsp coriander leaves
- Use as needed Oil
- Get to taste Salt
Steps to make Chatpati Bhindi Masala:
- Wash and dry Bhindi with clean napkin.
- Cut bhindi in to long medium size.
- Take pan and heat 1 tbsp oil.
- Saute Bhindi for 5 min on medium flame.
- Take out Bhendi and add 2 tbsp oil in same pan.
- Add cumin seeds and allow to flutter.
- Add onions and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add Funnel seeds (sounf) and Carrom seeds (Ajwain). Saute for 1/2 minute.
- Add ginger Garlic paste and Saute for 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes turns mushy.
- Add Turmeric powder, Chilli powder, coriander powder and mix well.
- Saute for 1 minute on low flame.
- Add 1 bowl of fresh Curd/ yogurt.
- Mix and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add kasoori Methi.
- Add Bhindi and mix well.
- Add salt as per taste.
- Cover and cook for 5 min on low flame.
- Turn off gas flame. And sprinkle some fresh coriander leaves.
- Healthy and chatpati Bhindi Masala is ready to serve.
