  1. Get 1/2 cup besan/gram flour
  2. Use 1 ltr Unsweetened lassi/Matha
  3. Prepare 8-10 Nos. Moong daal Vadi
  4. Take 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  5. You need 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  6. You need 1 tbsp salt/to taste
  7. Take 1 1/2 tbsp oil
  8. Prepare 1/2 tbsp black mustard seeds
  9. Provide 4-5 curry leaves
  10. Provide 2 green chillies(chopped)
  11. You need 1 tbsp grated ginger and garlic
Instructions to make Kadhi with Moong Daal Vadi:
  1. Heat a heavy bottomed pan or kadhai.Add 1/2 tbsp oil to it.Add Moong daal vadi and fry till golden brown.Transfer to a plate and Keep aside.
  2. To a bowl add besan.Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder to it.Now add unsweetened lassi and mix well so that no lumps are left.Now heat a heavy bottomed pan and add 1 tbsp oil to it.Add mustard seeds.When seeds start to crackle,add curry leaves, chopped green chillies and grated ginger and garlic.Stir for a minute and then add the prepared besan and lassi/matha mixture to it.
  3. Cook on high flame till it comes to boil.Now add fried Moong daal Vadi and salt to it.Let it cook for about 30 minutes on low flame.You will get nice thick consistency of kadhi with vadiyan nicely cooked in it.Transfer to the serving bowl and enjoy with rice or chapati.
