Mung Daal (along with all kinds of potato concoctions), was a staple at the boarding schools that I went to in India. After years of grumbling about the food and this Daal in particular, it recently dawned on me that Mung Daal has now become a major part of my diet and I just love it! Mung Daal is quite kind to Chowder when he is not causing insane amounts of trouble and tend to go easy on him when he makes. This is my first post of any Daal (Lentil Curry) on blog. And to be honest, I never had any intention to add a daal category on the blog.
