- Prepare 1 cup sour curd

Instructions to make Kadhi Chawal:
- Take a bowl,add besan,salt,carom seeds,red chilli powder& chopped onions,mix well with the help of water,Make a thick batter of it.
- Add oil in a karahi & make pakoras from the batter.
- Take them out & keep ita side.
- Put curd,besan, Turmeric powder,salt in a mixie & grind the mixture.
- Take a karahi,pour 2 tbsp of oil with bay leaf,whole red chilli,curry leaves &cumin seeds.
- When they crackle up,add thin sliced onions & ginger garlic paste & cook them till they become light brown in colour.
- Now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder & saute for few seconds.
- Now pour the grinded mixture in it
- Add 1 glass of water in it & cook till it becomes thick on a low flame.
- Before serving add pakoras in it & garnish with kasuri methi.
- Pour 1 tbsp of oil in another karahi or pan,add cumin seeds& cook till it they crackleup
- Now add washed & soaked rice in it with double the water means if 1 glass of rice then add 2 glass of water soaked rice for 20 minutes
- When it comes to a boil, slow down the flame & cook for 20 minutes.
- Serve hot with kadhi
