- You need For kadhi:-
- Prepare 2 cup curd
- Get 3-4 glass water
- Take 3-4 tbsp besan/ gram flour
- Prepare 2 cloves (laung)
- Prepare 2 tbsp ghee
- Get 1 tbsp Oil
- Prepare 1 tbsp Cumin powder
- Take 1 tsp haldi /turmeric powder
- Take 1 dry red chilli
- Provide 7-8 curry leaves
- Use 2 inch piece of ginger /adrak
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Methi dana
- Prepare 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Take 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Prepare leaves Some coriander
- Take to taste Salt
- Provide Pinch hing/ asafoetida
- Take 1/4 cup jaggery(gur) or as per taste
- Prepare For khichdi:-
- You need 1 cup rice
- Get 1/2 cup moong dal
- You need to taste Salt
- Use as needed Water
- Use To Taste Ghee
Steps to make Kadhi khichdi:
- For kadhi:- take a vessel add curd, besan, salt, water, cumin powder and whisk ot well.
- Now take kadhai put oil ghee into it add mustard seed, cumin seeds after it splutter add dry red chilli, curry leaves, cloves, methi dana, after methi dana and cloves turns brown add haldi then besan curd mixture then adrak and then salt to taste and jaggery, after a boil in slow flame turn of the gas, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
- For khichdi:- mix all the ingredients and let it cook in cooker for 3 whistle after that keep it in slow flame for about 5-6min. Then switch off the flame. And serve hot with ghee on it.
