- You need 350 gms - Ladies Finger (cut into medium sizes)
- Use 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
- Take 1/2 tsp - Asafoetida
- You need 4 - Green chillies finely chopped
- Provide 1 tsp - Ginger paste
- Get 1 tsp - Garlic paste
- You need 2 - Onions finely chopped
- Get 1 - Tomato finely chopped
- Take 1/2 tsp - Red chilli powder
- You need 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
- Get 1 tsp - Coriander powder
- Use 1 tsp -Cumin powder
- Provide 1 cup - Curd
- You need 1/2 tsp - Garam masala powder
- Get 1 tbsp - Gram flour
- Prepare 30 grams - Oil
- Take 1 cup - Water
- Take 1/2 tsp - Sugar
- You need 1 tsp - Coriander leaves
- Take as per taste - Salt
Steps to make Dahi Bhindi:
- Heat oil in a non stick pan, then add ladies finger, salt. Cook it till the colour of ladies finger is changed, then take it out in the plate.
- Next add more oil in the same pan and add asafoetida and cumin seeds and wait for 1minute. Now add chopped onions and fry until raw smell is gone.
- Then add chopped tomatoes and fry for few minutes. Next add ginger-garlic paste, chopped green chillies, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix it all together properly, then add gram flour and curd and mix it.
- Add 1 cup water into the masala, and fry until raw smell is gone. Next add ladies finger (bhindi). And cook for few minutes.
- Then add garam masala powder, sugar and chopped coriander leaves. Next let it cook for 2-3 minutes and then take it out in a serving bowl and our Dahi Bhindi is ready to serve.
