- You need 2 Drumsticks
- Get 1 Potato
- Provide 1 Capsicum
- Provide 2 tsp Salt
- You need 2.5 tsp Sambhar powder
- Prepare As needed Tamarind
- Take 1/2 cup Pulses
Steps to make Murungakkai Sambar:
- Dice drumsticks, capsicum and potato. Add water, turmeric, salt 2 tsp, sambhar powder and hing. Set to low flame and keep covered until vegetables is cooked.
- Soak tamarind in water for about 10 minutes.
- Keep 1/2 cup pulses in a pressure cooker.
- Add 1 cup tamarind extract and tomatoes. Bring to boil.
- Mash cooked pulses,add salt and mix with sambhar.
