- Get 2 large onions coarsely chopped
- Take 2 green capsicum large coarsely chopped
- Get 1 big garlic finely chopped

- Use 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- Use 1 tsp ajwain
- You need 1 tsp mustard seeds
- You need 1 tbsp soya sauce
- Get 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
- Use 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- Get 1 tsp sugar
- Prepare 2 tsp chilli powder
- Provide To taste Salt
- Use 2 cups water mixed with 1 tsp cornflour
- You need For the marinade:-
- You need 2 cups curd
- You need 1 tsp turmeric
- Get 1 tsp red chilli powder
- You need 1 tsp salt
- Get 1 tsp garam masala
- Take 1 tsp red food coloring
- Provide 500 GMs boneless chicken breast cut in cubes
- Take 1 cup maida
- Take 1 cup corn flour
- Prepare as needed Oil for deep frying
Steps to make Chilli Chicken Gravy:
- Keep the veggies chopped and ready for the gravy.
- Make the marinade with the chicken and marinade ingrediants mentioned above. Set aside in refrigerator for 15-20 mins.
- Deep fry the chicken cubes in oil. Drain on a tissue.
- Simultaneously in another pan with 2 tsp oil, dry off ajwain and mustard seeds, garlic, then add the other veggies. Keep frying on medium flame.
- Now add the salt, chilli powder, soya sauce, chilli sauce, tomato sauce and sugar. Mix well.
- Add the corn flour water if you desire gravy consistency. If you desire dry chilli chicken skip this step.
- Simmer for 6-10 mins in the uncovered pan. Let it bubble up.
- Finally add the fried chicken to the sauce and mix well. Continue to cook for 2 mins on low flame. Garnish with spring onions and coriander. Serve with rice/roti. Tastes great sandwiched between bread also!
