The ingredients needed to make Methi Daal Vada:
- Use For stuffing–
- You need 1 bowl methi leaves
- Provide 1/2 bowl green coriander leaves
- You need 1 tsp Sesame seeds
- You need 5 tsp gram flour (Besan)
- Prepare 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Use 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- You need 1 tsp garam masala
- Get 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Take 2 tsp oil
- Take as per taste Salt

- Use 1 bowl Chana Daal soaked overnight
- Provide 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Use 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Take As per taste Salt
- You need 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- You need 200 grams oil for deep fry
- Get 2 tsp Sev for decorating
Instructions to make Methi Daal Vada:
- Wash Methi leaves, coriander and cut finely, wash Chana dal.
- Roast Besan in 1 tsp oil.
- Now heat 2 tsp oil add cumin seeds when splutters add Methi, coriander leaves, add red Chilli powder, turmeric powder,garam masala saute for 2 minutes add salt, cook for next 2 minutes
- Now add roasted besan mix well, cook till the mixture leaves the pan.
- Add sesame seeds, mix well and take it down.
- Now take washed chana dal in a mixer and make thick paste don't add water, now add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt in the daal paste
- Mix well, now make small balls of stuffing, stuff the ball in daal mixture to make vadas, as shown in the pic
- Get all the vadas stuffed.
- Heat oil on medium flame drop vadas in hot oil, fry for 2 minutes, now slow the flame and fry the vadas till becomes golden brown.
- Take out vadas.
- Serve hot with decorating by chutney,sauce,sev.
