The ingredients needed to cook Daal vada:
- You need 1 cup bengal gram chana dal
- Provide 1 onion chopped
- Use 2 green chillies,chopped
- Prepare 1 inch ginger chopped
- You need 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

- Use 1 tbsp curry leaves

- Wash and soak chana dal in a bowl for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours drain the water and transfer dal to a mixture grinder and make a coarse mixture.
- Now transfer the mixture in to a big bowl and add all the spices to it along with salt and make a mixture.
- Divide the mixture in 8 to 10 parts and give tham vada shape by pressing it on your palm.
- Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the vada in medium hot oil till golden brown.
- Drain the vada in a tissue paper and serve hot with Chutney of your choice or serve it with a hot cup chai or coffee.
