  4. Then add one by one the dried masala, 1 teaspoon of dhaniya, jeera, turmeric and red Chile powder and little salt. Now cool till oil comes out of the masala.
  5. Now add the chopped spinach to it.
  6. Let the spinach cook and mix with the masala. Cover and cook for 4-5 mins.
  7. Now add the dal. Mix it well.
  8. Now add some water, salt to taste and some coriander leaves and let it cook for 10 min by covering it. Add garam masala powder
  9. Now for the tempering. In an khadi add butter. Then add dried red chiles, 2 teaspoons of whole jeera powder and the chopped garlic. Fry it till brown.
  10. Now pour this on the dal. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve it with roti or paratha
