- You need For yellow layer:

- Use 2 spoon Lemon juice
- Take to taste Salt
- Take For Tempering:
- Get 1/2 spoon mustard seeds
- Provide 1/2 spoon jeera
- Provide 1 spoon sesame seeds
- Provide 2 Slited green chillies
- Prepare 2 spoon Coriander leaves
- You need 1 spoon Curry leaves
- You need 4 spoons Oil
Steps to make Double layered sandwich dhokla.:
- Yellow layer: soak chana daal and urad dal for 6 to 7 hours or over night. Then make thick batter by adding curd and water as per need. Keep the batter again for 6 to 7 hour for fermentation.
- White layer: same procedure of yellow layer soak rice and urad dal and make thick batter with curd and water and keep aside for fermentation.
- Then after fermentation you will see that the batter is raised or double it's quantity then add salt and turmeric powder..(haldi). Then mix the batter by rotating in one direction with your hand..
- Same for white batter..add salt after fermentation..rotate the batter in one direction with hand
- For chutney: mix all the ingredients in mixture and make thick paste..
- Now place shallow bottom pan..add water put stand and grease plate with oil and add white batter..cover it with lead and steam for 2 to 3 minutes.. then check it with knife if it does not stick it is done. Keep a side to cool..then slowly with the help of broad knife take out whole white layer from palte..
- Then in the same plate pour yellow batter and steam it half
- Then spread green chutney on white layer and put chutni side down on the yellow layer and steam for 5 minutes..
- Then take out plate and let it cool..then make piece in your desired shape….
- Lastly temper it..take a oil in pan add mustard seeds when it splutter add jeera and sesame seeds..then add Slited green chillies and Curry leaves..then with the help of spoon temper on dhokla..garnish with Coriander leaves..
- To avoid Eno and soda.. fermentation should be done properly..It can be serve in breakfast..snacks with tea or coffee..it can be served hot or cold..
