  13. Provide 2 tsp misal masala

  17. Take 1 cup soaked poha

  21. Use 1/2 cup Farsan or chivda

Instructions to make Maharashtrian Misal Pav:
  1. Heat oil in cooker. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Sauté it for a minute. Add finely chopped garlic and curry leaves. And cook till golden brown.
  2. Now add finely chopped onion and cook it till translucent and mix well.
  3. Now add tomato puree and let it cook until oil starts appearing at edges. Add misal masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt as to taste.
  4. Now add mixed sprouts of your choice and mix well. Add 1 cup water and cover it with lid and cook on low flame for another 10 minutes.
  5. Again add 2 cups water and pressure cook it till 4 - 5 vissles.
  6. For poha (This step is optional) wash and soak 1 cup poha for 5 minutes. Add 1tsp salt and pinch of turmeric powder and mix well.
