- You need 3 Onions finely chopped
- Take 2 Tomato puree
- You need 1 cup Mixed sprouts (Matki)
- Take 2 tbsp oil
- Provide 1 tsp cumin seeds

- Get 4-5 Garlic cloves
- Use 3-4 Green chilli finely chopped
- Prepare 5-7 curry leaves
- Take 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Provide 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- Prepare 2 tsp coriander powder
- Provide 2 tsp misal masala
- Prepare to taste Salt
- Prepare 3 cups water
- Use For poha
- Take 1 cup soaked poha
- Provide Pinch turmeric powder

- Use 1/2 cup Farsan or chivda
- Use 1/3 bowl chopped onion and coriander
- Take 1 lemon

Instructions to make Maharashtrian Misal Pav:
- Heat oil in cooker. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Sauté it for a minute. Add finely chopped garlic and curry leaves. And cook till golden brown.
- Now add finely chopped onion and cook it till translucent and mix well.
- Now add tomato puree and let it cook until oil starts appearing at edges. Add misal masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt as to taste.
- Now add mixed sprouts of your choice and mix well. Add 1 cup water and cover it with lid and cook on low flame for another 10 minutes.
- Again add 2 cups water and pressure cook it till 4 - 5 vissles.
- For poha (This step is optional) wash and soak 1 cup poha for 5 minutes. Add 1tsp salt and pinch of turmeric powder and mix well.
