- You need Soak and Grind
- Take 3/4 cup Raw Rice
- You need 3/4 cup Idli Rice
- You need 1/2 cup Chana Dal
- You need 1/2 cup Toor Dal
- Provide 5 tsp Urad Dal
- You need 8 dry red chilli
- You need 2 tsp Fennel Seeds
- Provide 2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- Provide 1 inch Ginger
- Take Chop and Mix
- Use 1 Big Onion
- Prepare handful Drumstick Leaves/ Murunga
- Provide 1/4 cup Grated Carrot
- Take 4 tsp Coriander leaves
- Take 3 tsp Curry leaves
- Use 1 pinch Hing/asafoetida
- You need 1 pinch Turmeric powder (optional)
- Take to taste salt
- You need as needed oil

- Wash and Soak the rice and dhals for at least 2-3 hours, Keep aside. Grind it together with red chillies, fennel seeds, cumin seeds & ginger to a coarse paste. Add salt, turmeric powder, hing mix well and set aside
