The ingredients needed to prepare Paneer Butter Masala:
  1. Prepare 200 gm paneer
  2. Prepare 2 medium tomato
  3. Provide 2 medium onion
  4. You need 1 inch ginger
  5. Provide 2 green chilli
  6. Prepare 6-7 garlic pods
  7. Provide 12-15 cashew nuts
  8. Use 4 tbsp ghee
  9. Take 20 gm butter
  10. You need 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  11. Get 1 tsp turmeric powder
  12. Use 1 tsp Coriander powder
  13. You need 1/2 tsp garam masala
  14. Take to taste Salt
  15. Provide 1 tsp sugar
  16. Take 1 small cinnamon stick
  17. Use 2 cloves
  18. Get 2 green cardamom
  19. Use 1 bay leaf
  20. Take 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
  21. Get 1 tsp cumin seeds
  22. Use 2 tsp cream of milk
  23. Prepare 4 tbsp milk
  24. You need Water as per requirement
Instructions to make Paneer Butter Masala:
  1. Add 2 tbsp ghee in a pan then add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cardamom, cumin seeds and cloves. Roast for 30 seconds and add cashew. Roast them till it becomes golden. Now add ginger, green chilli and garlic cloves cut into big pieces. Roast for few seconds. Add sliced onion, roast till translucent, finally add tomato and salt. Mix well and cover the lid cook for 3 to 4 minutes on low to medium flame.
  2. After 4 minutes open lid and peel skin of tomato with the help of a fork. Now let the mixture cool mean while we prepare marinated paneer. Take a pan add 1 tsp ghee and 10 gram of butter. Add 1/2 kashmiri red chilli and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. Add paneer and roast for 2 minutes.finally add dried fenugreek leaves. Now Grind onion tomato mixture into a fine puree.
  3. Take a pan, heat 1 tbsp ghee and 10 grams butter. Add red chilli and turmeric powder. Pour tomato onion mixture and roast for 4 minutes. Add cream, coriander powder and milk, cook by continously stirring for 2 minutes on medium to high flame. Finally add paneer, sugar. Mix well, cover and cook for 4 minutes on medium flame. Add garam masala fenugreek leaves
  4. Garnish with coriander leaves.
