- Prepare 100 g chana dal
- Prepare 1 inch ginger
- Get 1-2 red chilli
- Prepare 1 spoon cumin seeds

Instructions to make Dhokar Dalna:
- Soaked dals for overnight..Make fine paste of it.. Dry roast cumin, carom seeds, red chilli, ginger and blend it.. Add blended roasted powder to dals and mix properly..
- Take a pan,heat oil add assofoida followed by dal paste..Stir it and add salt, sugar, turmeric power, pinch of garam masala.. Keep stirring till it become little sticky..Then take out from flame and in a greased plate using hand make moulded like a cake..By a knife marks shape of dhoka..Then let it to cool down..
- After cool down completely take out shaped dhoka and fry them golden brown in medium heat..Dhoka is ready..Next step is preparation of gravy..
- Blend tomato, ginger, chilli into paste..
- In kadai heat oil and add bay leaf, red chilli and cumin seeds wait for sputtering..then add potato, fry it in low flame..When potato is 80 percent done add paste masala followed by cumin powder, corriender powder,salt, turmeric powder..cook till oil is separating..
- Add hot water and cook in high flame..then add Dhoka to gravy..cook 2 more mins..Before swich off gas put garam masala and ghee.. Dhoka soaks the gravy..So after some time dhoka will be soft..
