- Heat oil in a kadhai, add mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds. Let it crackle. Add curry leaves, and ginger grated. saute a little around 1 minute.
- Soak tamarind in hot water and mash it up to get pulp.
- Add chopped chillies in ginger, add turmeric and red chilli powder. Saute till fragrant.
- Add chopped dates and tamarind pulp to it.
