- Prepare 3/4 cups Basmati Rice
- Provide 1/2 cup thinly sliced Onions
- Prepare 1.5 cups Water
- Prepare 1-2 Cloves

- Add rice and saute for 3-4 minutes.
- Add water with salt and mix well. Water should be slightly salty
- Simmer, cover and cook until water is absorbed and rice is done
- Gently fluff the rice. Garnish the rice with fried cashews, onions, raisins and coriander leaves.
- Serve warm with curry and raita
